Copies of Gibson's photos c.1880
Approx. 10 luggers are seen aground in the foreground, moored bows first on the shingle at the western end of Newlyn harbour. A further 15 or more are seen moored behind them in the old harbour, with the breakwater beyond. Of those boats in the foreground, legible PZ registration numbers include, from left to right, 5, 161, and 283.
