Blyth, Northumberland, coble under repair

In this image of coble BH39 under repair, seen from the port side on the ground outside a shed at Blyth, two broad planks below the sheer plank have been removed on the port side and one on the starboard side, and one of the sawn timbers has also been removed. The view from fore to aft of the sheer plank shows the extreme tumble home and compound-curved sheerline common to cobles.
