Dover galley Princess
The Dover galley Princess is seen bow-on, beached in front of hotel buildings in Dover, the camera having been placed at ground level. The view emphasises the fine lines of the galley's clinker build. The Chatham Directory of Inshore Craft records that the Princess was 29ft 1" in length, with a beam of 5ft 4" and a depth of 2ft. To the right of the Princess are two smaller clinker-built boats seen stern-on, nets hanging between their gunwales. Dover's chalk cliffs rise immediately behind the buildings in the background.
