Lord Lewin with Pakistani officers saluting the tomb of Jinnah

Lord Lewin with Pakistani officers inside the Mazar-e-Quaid/Jinnah Mausoleum. Part of a marble tomb is visible in the foreground. A metal fence is behind this, with a wreath hanging on the far side. The officers, all in unfirom, stand in group behind this, facing the coffin and saluting. They stand in rows of three, with Lewin in the centre of the front row. Two other men, dressed in karakul hats and other civilian clothes, stand to the right of the image. The scene takes place inside the stone dome of the building, with an entrance immediately behind the saluting men. Muhammad Ali Jinnah is considered the founder of Pakistan. He served on the All-India Muslim League and then, when Pakistan became independent in 1947, as the country's first Governor-General. Quaid-e-Azam means ‘Great Leader’.
