Gold Coast [Ghanaian] fishermen
A black and white lanscape photograph of men and boys hauling on a rope/ropes on a beach. At least twenty people are visible. They stand in a rough line, almost all facing towards the sea. Most are standing but one men, close to the left of the image, is sat on the sand. The other end/ends of the rope/ropes are off camera, in the direction of the sea, and are presumably attached to either a boat or fishing nets. Original caption (within the photograph): '1920 GOLD COAST FISHERMEN.'
