A smiling Jamacian woman with a pipe
A black and white three-quarter length portrait photograph of a smiling Jamacian woman with a pipe in her mouth, looking at the camera. The pipe is clamped between the teeth on the left side of her mouth. She wears a loose cotton or linen dress with a collar, possibly working clothes. She also wears a scarf or headwrap on her head. Her right hand is on her hip and her left hand hangs by her side. The top of the photograph has been cut to a curve, making the photograph arch-shaped. Original captions: (handwriten in ink beneath): '"Jamaica"' and 'De [illegible] you know!'. There is another caption, within the photograph but mostly cut off.
