'In the Val Bevers, Engadine, 1880' [Switzerland]

No. 37 in Fanshawe's Baltic and later album, 1843 - 83. Captioned by the artist on the album page below the image, as title. A view in the valley of the River Inn near Bever (spelt Bevers until 1943) which is a village of the Oberengadin in the Graubünden canton of south-east Switzerland. Fanshawe retired from active service, aged 65, in November 1879 and this is one of a group of drawings done on holiday in Switzerland the following year (PAI4709 - 4712).
