Spittoon
Blue jasper spittoon, decorated with white applied reliefs. It is circular with a mask lip on each side. The central portion of the top is glazed and the outside is decorated with vine swags and animal masks. It was reputedly used in the cabin of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) on board 'HMS Victory'. Number '1328' is incised on the base.
