Views of Calcutta

A bound photograph album (binding broken) containing 52 albumen prints, averaging 10 inch by 8 inch, pasted onto boards.

The album covers Calcutta (Kolkata) in the 1870s, including the esplanade, monuments, Indian population, public buildings and thoroughfares. The majority are captioned on the negative 'Stretton' (with a number), two are 'Bourne', and one 'Humpidge'.
