Hot on the heels of yesterday's post about the Quiet study Area closure on 8 March, there's a quite a few other events to tell you about.  Please note that these events are all taking place in the Quiet Study Area of the Library so it will be closed to Readers during these times. The Group Study Space will be open to readers as normal: Ok, have you got the diary handy? Monday 24 March: Introduction to the Caird Library, 10am-12.15pm.  See: http://www.rmg.co.uk/whats-on/events/calendar/caird-library-march14 Thursday 3 April: Ideas in Movement: the Role of Conflict and Commerce in the History of Navigation, 10am-2pm. Chart viewing session in the Library as part of this 2 day conference: See: http://www.rmg.co.uk/researchers/conferences-and-seminars/ideas-in-movement And then a new series- Something we've not tried before.... The 'Library Lates' programme is a series of curator led talks held in the Caird Library. The talks are illustrated with rare and unique items from the Library and archive collections and will offer a fascinating and in depth look at maritime art and history. The 'Library lates' are run on Thursday evenings, between 6.15 and 7.15pm, taking advantage of the Library's Thursday late opening. The cost is just £5 (or £4 if you're already a Member) per session.
