Letters from Ella Ambrose to John Short April to June 1934.

4th April Ambrose describes what she has done over the Easter holiday. Over this period she writes about her work at Supermarine, colleagues, friends, family and the weather, and thanks Short for the gifts he has sent. She is 'frightfully busy' at work as they have received an order a 24 Seagull U aircraft from Australia. Her letters from May mention that the husband of a friend is in Greenwich Hospital receiving treatment for mysterious pains, and Ambrose remarks upon the strangeness that he and Short happen to be hospitalised at the same time on different continents (see SHO/4/3 for Short's account of his time in hospital). The NEURALIA, one of Short's previous ships, is anchored in the Hamble, and in June Ambrose goes to visit Short's old cabin and reminisce.
