Photocopies of correspondence of John George, Royal Marine.
25 pages, with a compliments slip from Pembroke Record Office. The first 12 pages are photocopy of a handwritten summary of George's correspondence, listing it chronologically. Then there is a copy of a typed letter from J.F. Rees about the letters and the life of John George dated 15 August 1948, and a letter from G. Owen George dated 1955 about which museum will take the letters. Finally, there are two letters from George to his sister, Mary. The first is dated 13 September 1803, HMS FISGARD about the Spanish War. The second was written between 31 December 1804 and 5 January 1805 while off the coasts of Spain and Portugal.
