Account of a voyage to Sydney on board the RIALTO, 1883.
Photocopy of an account written by an emigrant on board the iron sailing ship RIALTO (1869), departed from Plymouth on 8 September and arrived at Sydney on 15 December 1883. It describes conditions and events on board, and seems to relate to the carpenter John James Wakley. The Wakley family including four daughters were from Gloucestershire, but living in Enfield earlier in the year. A photocopied transcription is included.
