Many December letters congratulate Sir James and Lady Porter on their wedding anniversary. In a birthday message to Dora, her uncle Charlie (Charles Cowan) tells her he is going to Cambridge. Also contains ephemera from SS STATE OF CALIFORNIA. a press cutting from The Times regarding changes to the North America and West Indies station.
