Small bundle of letters between Sir James Porter, Lady Porter and their daughter, 1900 - 1903 (headed Royal Naval Hospital, Chatham); small bundle of letters from Sir James Porter to Lady Porter and her parents whilst they were living in Bermuda, 1886 (headed HMS CALYPSO); photographs of J.G. Ogilvie and the Reverend A. Ogilvie, 1884, and a press cutting titled "An Interesting Occasion in Edinburgh: A Remarkable Aberdeenshire Family" with illustrations of Dr George Ogilvie, Dr Joseph Ogilvie and the Reverend from an uknown publication; letter from M. Bisset-Smith to Sir James Porter, 1933, with another dated 1925 to or from Dora (Porter's daughter); incomplete letters from Sir James to Lady Porter circa 1900 (HMS DORIS; letters to Sir James from Michael and Myra, South Africa, 1930s; xerox copy of the Statistical Report of the Health of the Navy, 1900; letters from Lady Porter to Sir James numbered 142, 145, 146, 147, 182, and unnumbered letters from the same period (1897-1900); a letter to Lady Porter from a family member (?) at Beechworth, Australia, 1931, which references the Great Depression.
