Lyons, between 22 August 1870 and 28 November 1870; the sloop HMS CAMELEON (1860), under Commander Josiah H. Hatchard, between 29 November 1870 and 15 December 1870; then HMS ZEALOUS (1864), flagship of Rear-Admiral Arthur Farquhar, between 16 December 1870 and 2 December 1871.
Included are track charts, particulars of warships, a photograph showing the CHARYBDIS under refit, and a fold-out plan of the holds of the ZEALOUS.
