Letter confirming his temporary appointment as master and instructions to carry cargoes of motor spirit from Thames Haven to the Anglo-American Oil Co depot at Northam, Southampton, dated 28 January 1938. A copy of a letter to the shipbrokers J.R. Wood & Co Ltd, Southampton, dated 2 February 1938, concerning changes to the orders for the FRANK M. Letter discussing papers required for clearance at Thames Haven and directions for proceeding to Jersey via Southampton, dated 4 February 1938. Letter confirming that Mann is now fit for work and will be taking over as master after the vessel arrives at Purfleet, dated 9 February 1938.
