Scale 1:48. Plan shows the forward portion of a sheer lines and longitudinal half breadth for an unnamed 185ft Steam sloop proposed by Lord Thomas Hay circa 1844. The title of the plan is "A Design for a steam ship of 400 horse power to be propelled by a screw and carry 9 guns". Written on the reverse of the drawing are the words "Lord TMS Hay's Design for a Steam Sloop".
