Proposed two-man submersible (circa 1882)

Sheet 5 of a set of five drawings illustrating a design proposal for a two-man submersible submitted to the Admiralty by a Mr. George Gerrey of Newhaven in January 1882.

Graduated bar scale. A plan showing a near-beam outboard profile of the craft, the purpose of the illustration being unclear. There are also detail drawings of the mechanisms for controlling the air box and ballast tanks.

The plan is signed by the designer and dated 11 January 1882.
