Rosa Brett Sketchbook No 2. Mainly Kent, 1872, 1873
Sketchbook. Brown tissue and black leather on the edge, with a piece of fabric tied to the front and small gold bands on the binding. On the back, a paper label stuck to the cover with ‘Rosa Brett’ handwritten in graphite. Note: the label is upside-down in comparison to all of the drawings in the sketchbook. Was it labelled before it was started and then accidentally started from the other side? Or was it accidentally labelled on the wrong side following the completion of the sketchbook? Sketchbook contains thirty-five leaves, including one blank, PAG0642-PAG0676.
