Scale 1:48. Plan showing the hurricane deck profile, plan and sections through the deckhouse and fore and aft superstructures for the masted turret ironclad HMS Captain (1869).

Marked "Alterations and additions shown in red ink" . Drawing carries red (Admiralty) Portsmouth Yard stamp dated 29 July 1870; annotated "See Officer's Letter of this date".

Same as NPA8115 (dated 27 July) but this (NPA8114) copy is not endorsed by W.B. Robinson, Master Shipwright and Engineer.

Signed bottom left corner "Martin Durrant, Engineer Student, Exd J. Blake". However the handwriting in the plan is mostly not Durrant's.
