'Discovery' (1901)
Scale 1:24 and 1:8. A plan showing a midships half-section and partial inboard elevation of the 'Discovery' (1901), a wooden-hulled auxiliary barque fitted out for Antarctic exploration, illustrating the disposition of the framing. Aditionally, there are detail drawings showing the method of fitting non-conductive material under the deck and the arrangement of fastenings on the bottom planking.
This item is a modified version of DIG0006, showing alterations made to the framing.
The DIG-prefix plans are all late 20th century reproductions of the originals from Dundee Shipbuilders Co. Ltd. These copies were acquired by the National Maritime Museum from Goole Shipbuilding & Repairing Ltd. in April 1981.
