'Discovery' (1901)

Scale 1:4. A plan showing a plan view and elevation of the sounding platform of the 'Discovery' (1901), a wooden-hulled auxiliary barque fitted out for Antarctic exploration. Although the quality of this modern copy is good, the original was in very poor condition when this facsimile was made. Consequently, some of the original data is missing.

The DIG-prefix plans are all late 20th century reproductions of the originals from Dundee Shipbuilders Co. Ltd. These copies were acquired by the National Maritime Museum from Goole Shipbuilding & Repairing Ltd. in April 1981.
