'Archie' an autobiographical account by Lieutenant Col F A Archdale, MBE (b.1890) describing his career starting as a cadet in HMS WORCESTER, 1907, joining next the Merchant Navy in 1908, then the Bengal Pilot Service and finally on the outbreak of First World War, enlisting in the Indian Army Reserve (Green Howards).
