Four men in an outrigger canoe at Faisi, one of the Shortland Islands within the Solomon Group. The four are looking at the camera. The three men towards the stern are each holding a long-handled paddle with tear-drop blade. A man in a canoe is the background.

The reverse of the print has the pencil caption: 'Native canoe Faisi'.

HMS Sussex arrived at Faisi, Solomon Islands on 6 September 1935 and departed on 10 September 1935 for Tulogi, Solomon Islands.
