Sketch of HM Steamer Dwarf and details of bow and stern, Decr 5th 1844

Sketch inscribed below: "HM Steamer Dwarf - Decr 5th 1844" under the stern of lower drawing "6.3", under the bow "4.11"; on the drawing of the bow, below the gunwhale, "Red Ribbon". The Dwarf was the first screw vessel in the Royal Navy when it was bought in 1843. It was built in Liverpool and launched in 1834 as the Mermaid, and then adapted at Blackwall in 1843, becoming an Iron Screw. Stored with PAH4442-PAH4496, PAH4498-PAH4521.
