Storebaelt; Passenger vessel

Scale: Unknown. A miniature waterline model of the Danish chain ferry Storebaelt made entirely in wood with metal fittings and painted in realistic colours. The hull is painted black with a single white stripe running its entire length, white bulwarks and upperworks. The long foredeck incorporates bulwark “walls” that are forward extensions of the superstructure. Between these bulwarks is a superstructure placed along the centreline of the foredeck thus creating two lanes for vehicles to enter the cargo deck. The white-painted superstructure is slightly aft of amidships and features a short open promenade on the port and starboard sides, two masts, lifeboats and two squat funnels, painted black with red and white horizontal stripes.
