Intrépide; Warship; 74 guns
Scale: Unknown. A model of the French warship Intrépide made in plaster with wood, metal, paper, and cotton fittings which has been realistically painted. The model depicts the vessel at 1.40pm on 21st October 1805 at the height of the Battle of Trafalgar and shows damage to the ship with numerous shot holes to the sails, foremast, and jib. The ship is three masted, ship rigged with set sails. The hull is painted black with red stripes along the gun decks, white on the deck, and black on the deck fittings. There is a French tricolour flying from the mizzen mast and a French pennant flying from the top of the foremast. On a paper label: "57".
