Lithograph of a view - a few unremarkable buildings by a lake shore - seven miles west of Gannequis (now Gananoque), Eastern Ontario, Canada. Gananoque is at the north-eastern end of Lake Ontario close to where it joins the St Lawrence River. See summary of Fanshawe's known American movements with ZBA4856: he took his flagship 'Royal Alfred' to Quebec one summer while C-in-C North America and West Indies, and toured the area, but the exact date remains to be clarified.
