Letterbook on HMS BUZZARD, 1852-1856.
Volume containing copies of official letters received and sent by Dobbie while in command of the wooden paddle sloop HMS BUZZARD (1849), dated between 11 May 1852 and 15 July 1856. In this period the BUZZARD commissioned at Hamoaze and was employed on the North America and West Indies station. Included is a loose memo from the office of Admiral Sir William Parker, Commander-in-Chief at Plymouth, dated 7 July 1856.
