Family history research by Dobbie's descendant Mrs Jane Vansittart, previously held in a ring binder. The papers include typescript transcriptions of Dobbie's service documents and testimonials. There are also two letters sent to Vansittart in February 1977, discussing the description of a ‘sea snake’ written in Dobbie's journal on 24 September 1855 (see DBB/105).
