Letters between Dobbie descendants, 1935-1977.
Letters between descendants relating to items in the Dobbie collection:
(1) Letter addressed to ‘my dear Agatha’ from Beatrice G. Jessupp at Embleton, Sunnyside, Clevedon, Somerset, dated 8 July 1935. It discusses the letter and order books which belonged to her grandfather (see DBB/1/1 and DBB/1/2).
(2) Letter to Hilda (Moorhouse?) from Peggy Dobbie, Victoria, British Columbia, dated February 1972. It discusses three Royal Humane Society certificates found by chance inside a shell case (see DBB/108/1).
(3) Letter from William Zuill Senior at Orange Grove, Smiths Parish, Bermuda, to Mrs Jane Vansittart (or Hilda Moorhouse) at 6 Raddenatile Court, Exmouth, Devon, dated 14 March 1977. It discusses HMS BUZZARD (1849) on station at Bermuda in the 1850s.
