Three series of transcripts, series one is programmes 1-6 in 1980; series two is programmes 7-12 in 1981 and series three is programmes 13-18 in 1982. Eighteen audio tape reel recordings in total- some available on CD for use in the Reading Room with Headphones.

Administrative / biographical background
The programme 'Ditty Box Days' was produced and presented by Tom Pearse between 1980 and 1982. The programme consisted of 18 programmes where Tom Pearse would interview retired naval and royal marine personnel who served between the two World Wars. Tom Pearse was staff public relations officer at HM Naval Base, Chatham.
