Letter from Captain Edward Codrington to Lord Arden, 25 June 1805.
Letter from Captain Edward Codrington to Lord Arden. He will be pleased to receive George as a midshipman on his ship, but would prefer him to delay his arrival until the ship is ready to receive him. He requests that George be not amply provided with effects, as these can be supplied in Portsmouth if needed. He is in need of a steady, gentlemanlike midshipman to control his mess. Dated ORION, Portsmouth, 25 June [1805].
