Information supplied by 'my worthy friend Richard Wilding esqr. of Llanrhaiadr in the county of Denbigh, who resided twelve years on the coast of Guinea': pp. 3–4. Wilding was a prominent trader in enslaved Africans, associated with late eighteenth-century Liverpool.
