11 items. 1) A printed letter to Joseph Ford from the Coast Guard Office nominating him for probation as a Boatman in the Revenue Coast Guard. 2) A handwritten letter from Trinity Wharf acknowledging that Alfred Lingham had entered the service in March 1866. 3) A printed letter from the Comptroller General of the Revenue Coast Guard in the UK confirming the appointment of Joseph Ford as Boat Man subsequent to his probation. 4) An extremely worn document titled "Particulars of the Service of the Party named on the [...] Page", concerning the causes of discharge for warships/vessels/revenue cruizers/boats and revenue stations.
