Small collection of mainly printed material, including instructions, plans and maps, connected with Rear-Admiral Sir James Athol Wood (1756-1829). There is a handwritten copy of an affidavit in the matter of a claim of joint capture of the ship COTTON PLANTER, in the Vice-Admiralty Prize Court at Antigua, dated 5 March 1808, relating to Wood's command of the frigate HMS ACASTA (1797). There are printed plans of fortifications at Malta, Lupin, Aix, Chateau Trompette and Andaye; also plans of the harbours at Cadiz and Alexandria.
