Letter from Mrs John Black, TITANIC survivor, to Geoffry G. Martin of Rank Film Distributors

Includes an account of her experience on the lifeboat and being rescued and a photograph of the whistle used in her lifeboat.

Administrative / biographical background
Mrs. Black (1892-1977), then Miss Lillian Bentham, seventeen, was returning with a party of eleven from a trip to Europe. Only two others of her party were rescued, Mrs. Lillie Renouf of Elizabet, and Miss Emily Rugg.
