Correspondence from the year 1811 regarding Attorney-General v. Lindegren.

Correspondence between Lindegren and Kaye & Freshfield, among others, January 1811 to May 1811. On 11 January, Kaye is sent a letter from Knight & Jones (agents to the Solicitor of the Admiralty), who have received the original copies of the evidence and are about to finish the examination of witnesses on the part of the informant. Lindegren then writes to Kaye asking which witnesses have been examined, asking particularly about a Mr Gambier and Sir F. Hartwell. Kaye writes to Lindegren saying a Mr Tooke is to be examined, and that he has not received word about Gambier or Hartwell. Kaye asks Knight & Jones to produce more evidence (accounts of Godfrey Thornton & Sons) for examination at the same time as the accounts already sent to them by Lindegren and the Navy Board, and in a reply they agree to produce the accounts. In April, Peacock & Thomson (examiners) enquire about copies of the accounts.
