Correspondence from 1812 to 1813 regarding Attorney-General v. Lindegren.
Correspondence between Lindegren and Kaye & Freshfield, among others, between November 1812 and June 1813. With the only letter from 1812, Lindegren encloses a payment to K&F and is glad to hear of no change in proceedings. In May 1813 K&F notify Lindegren that the Navy Board are examining Mr William G. Davis and Mr S. Davis of the Comptroller's Office, and ask if there's any witnesses Lindegren would like examined on his part. In reply, Lindegren explains what he knows about the two Mr Davis (W.G. Davis examined his accounts, and he knows not of the other Davis). In reply to this, K&F strongly suggest that instead of cross-examining W.G. Davis it would be prudent to provide a witness for the defence to oppose his evidence. At the end of May, Lindegren writes to Knight & Jones confirming receipt of copies of certain documents, and asks for copies of some minutes of the Navy Board dating between 1797 and 1807. In June, K&F send Lindegren the examination of witness G. Todd.
