Letter from Bells & Rannie to Ommanney & Page, 1795.

Letter to the agents Ommanney & Page, representing the crew of the sloop HMS KINGFISHER (1782), from the agents Bells & Rannie at Leith, dated 7 August 1795. It concerns the conclusion of the litigation surrounding the whaler DUNDEE, master William Soutan, captured by a French squadron and taken back off Norway on 25 July 1794. The financial settlement was shared with Lieutenant Columbine of the cutter HMS RESOLUTION (purchased 1779).
