Correspondence between Gosselin and Henry Devis, London, dated between 22 December 1802 and 15 February 1803. It concerns proceedings relating to the Swedish ship RESOLUTION, master Westenstule, detained by HMS SYREN (1782) off Havana on 13 April 1801. Included are a copy of the opinion of Sir John Nicholl, the King’s Advocate, and subsequent letters discussing abandonment of the case.
