Papers relating to the Prussian vessels VRIENDSCHAP and AEOLUS, detained by HMS SYREN (1782) off Le Havre on 29 May 1800 and 12 June 1800, and later taken to Portsmouth:

(1) Poster advertising the public auction of the galleass AEOLUS and her cargo at the Dolphin Inn, Gosport, on 6 November 1800.
(2) Catalogue for the AEOLUS auction, including conditions of sale and a listing of the available goods, mainly casks of pearl ash and cases of cordials.
(3) Account of the net proceeds of the AEOLUS and her cargo, signed by Benjamin Stowe, dated 9 October 1806.
(4) Account of the net proceeds of the condemned part of the cargo of the ship VRIENDSCHAP, following the public auction at the Dolphin Inn on 8 April 1802, signed by Benjamin Stowe, dated 9 October 1806.
(5) Copy of an account of sales following the AEOLUS auction, signed by the broker Matthias March and dated 22 October 1806.
(6) Copy of an account of sales following the VRIENDSCHAP auction, signed by Matthias March and dated 22 October 1806.
