Papers relating to vessels detained by HMS SYREN (1782) off Cuba and Jamaica, dated between June 1801 and December 1802:

(1) Financial statements sent to Gosselin by the agents Willis, Waterhouse & Co & John Coates, Kingston, Jamaica, with account salvage for the English schooner ELIZA recaptured from a Spanish privateer, and account of sales for the Spanish schooners MANUELLA and MARIA.
(2) Copies of two letters discussing the case of the Swedish ship RESOLUTION, sent by Gosselin to Willis, Waterhouse & Co in Jamaica, and John Willis & Co in London. Also an account of the cargo of the RESOLUTION.
