Letters and financial statements sent to Gosselin by the agents Thomas Maxwell & Son, later James Maxwell, Barbados, 1798-1806. Including accounts of the sales relating to the Danish prizes FORTUNATUS and MARIA by order of Thomas Maxwell & Son, agents for the crew of HMS SYREN (1782). The schooner FORTUNATUS and snow MARIA were captured by the SYREN on 9 August and 1 December 1798.
