Letter written by Thomas from Southampton to his sister Miss Mary Thomas. The letter is not dated but it was probably written in March 1811. In the letter he writes that he has just been promoted by the Admiralty and is hurrying to Plymouth from where he will sail to Gibraltar to command a large flotilla.
