Page 115 (recto): The YARMOUTH sails to Malaga. Barlow explains how sailors sell their clothes to local people at a loss, to raise money for buying wine. They arrive at Algiers and plan to attack the fleet there with fireships, but the weather is too calm and peace is made instead. The sailors raise money to ransom some Englishmen taken as slaves. Barlow goes ashore for the first time in seven months.
