Page 39 (recto): The ship sails to Sole Bay in Suffolk, where they find the rest of the fleet, and then to Elsinore, where they intend to assist the Swedes in the war between Sweden and Denmark. They sight the Dutch fleet, who are supporting the Danes, but do not engage them. Barlow includes a poem expressing his longing to go to sea.
Page 40 (verso): Parliament Commissioners arrive with orders for the fleet to return home. They encounter bad weather in the North Sea and the NASEBY loses her yawl overboard.
