Recto: Barlow's ship sails to North Africa via Portugal, reaching Malaga in Spain. The sailors are put on a short allowance of food, which is of poor quality. Verso: The ships are watered at Malaga. Barlow and other sailors go ashore for a session drinking local wine.

Page 51 (recto): The AUGUSTAINE sets sail from Woolwich. In the Downs they join the fleet, Lord Montague in the ROYAL JAMES being the Admiral. The fleet is put on short allowance of food, and Barlow complains about its quality. They sail to North Africa via Portugal and anchor at Malaga in Spain.

Page 52 (verso): The ships are watered at Malaga. Barlow and some other sailors go into town and drink wine, becoming quite drunk. Two days later the fleet sets sail again.
