Page 67 (recto): Barlow and others are sent ashore to help the Portugese defend Tangier by firing from the city walls. A squadron of ships arrives from England carrying more soldiers, and Barlow's ship sails for Lisbon with the fleet, which will convey Catherine of Braganza to England to marry the King. The MARTAINE GALLEY is ordered instead to take dispatches to England.

Page 68 (verso): Barlow's ship lands near Milford Haven by mistake, and he is able to visit Pembroke, where he finds the ale very good. When the ship reaches Deptford he spends every weekend at his master's house. He goes to Lambeth to see Catherine Braganza pass in state on the river on her way to Whitehall.
